    Comme pour chaque mise à jour depuis un certain temps, Rockstar organisera ce week-end des événements spéciaux pour la Independence Day Update. Ceux-ci se tiendront du jeudi 3 au dimanche 6 inclus.

    • Un tirage au sort a également été organisé pour permettre de gagner un pack de goodies comprenant une batte de baseball GTA IV, un verre Patriot Beer, un ballon de plage de GTA Vice City Anniversary, un gant en mousse, une figurine de la Statue de l'Hilarité et un t-shirt Los Santos Lifeguard. Malheureusement les joueurs français n'ont pas accès au tirage au sort.
